CLEVELAND, Ohio – Each month we round up some of the special or extra creative promotions planned at area baseball parks. From bobbleheads to giveaways to fireworks and more, here are 18 games to consider in August for Akron, Cleveland, Lake County, Lake Erie and Mahoning Valley.

LAKE COUNTY: Buck Night

What’s better than hot dogs, 12 oz soft drinks and 12 oz house beers for a dollar each?

MAHONING VALLEY: Aaron Civale figurine

Aaron Civale’s bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,000 fans is planned. It’s also Scout Night with a sleepover and movie plus fireworks on Friday nights.

CLEVELAND: Myles Straw Jersey

The Myles Straw jersey will be given out to 12,500 fans. Pregame in the District will feature $2 Coors Light 5:30-7 p.m. Time-warping fireworks will be themed around Motown/Disco/rap and 80s rhythm and blues.

LAKE COUNTY: Sports History Evening in Cleveland

You must love it when Cleveland’s rich sporting history is celebrated at the ballpark. Former Cavs star Larry Nance Sr. is expected to arrange a meet and greet for $40. It includes an autographed photo, a photo shoot and a pre-match buffet.

Hot Dog Night at the ballpark will offer fans $2 hot dogs like every other night, but the team is promising an amazing time. Everyone is a sausage! Frankly, that sounds like fun to us. Plus, to wash those dogs off, it’s Thirsty Thursday with $2 beers and sodas all night and post-game fireworks.

LAKE ERIE: Halloween Celebration

The Crushers celebrate Halloween early. Children are encouraged to wear costumes and participate in a costume parade on the pitch before the game.

AKRON: princess tea party

Your favorite princes and princesses will be present at the family fun day. Fireworks are also scheduled.

MAHONING VALLEY: Bark at the Park, seniors and pizza

Bring the pooch to the ballpark! Additionally, seniors (55+) can purchase tickets for higher seating for $5. Bonus: it’s a $2 pizza night.

MAHONING VALLEY: Army, wine and football in the spotlight

Military Appreciation Night offers two complimentary tickets to the Superior Box with military ID. It’s also Wine Down Wednesday and Pro Football Hall of Fame Night.

AKRON: Silver dash

A thousand dollars will be scattered around the outfield for 15 lucky fans to grab. What could go wrong? Players will wear their electric blue uniforms and fireworks will follow the shenanigans.

LAKE COUNTY: Irish Heritage Evening

Irish Heritage Night will be capped off with a fireworks display. Reminder: Wear your green.

The RubberDucks Celebrate Super Bowl LVII Champions! A giveaway is set, Eric Metcalf bobblehead will be given to the first 1,000 fans and post-game fireworks are planned.

CLEVELAND: fireworks, blanket distribution and beer

District pregame means $2 Miller Lites from 5:30-7 p.m. Plus, a cover giveaway to the first 12,500 fans and Rock ‘N Blast fireworks.

LAKE ERIE: Fan Appreciation Weekend

As tradition dictates, the Crushers will use their final home games of the regular season to thank the fans. Giveaways and food and drink specials are planned for the final three home games. Information:

6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 vs. Washington Wild Things.
