Currier Joins Women’s Basketball Team – Women’s Basketball – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets


THE APARTMENTS –Caleb Currier has joined the Georgia Tech women’s basketball team as director of scouting operations, head coach Nell Fortner announced Friday.

Originally from Onida, South Dakota, Currier worked with the University of Tennessee Women’s Basketball Program as a graduate assistant from 2019-2021. In her role, Currier developed, implemented and maintained recruitment strategies and databases to support coaching staff in all recruitment operations. He was also involved in organizing summer and on-campus recruiting operations. In addition to his recruiting efforts, he was involved in the day-to-day operations of the program, including supervising student managers, alumni relations, liaising with equipment managers, and community outreach.

Currier joins the Yellow Jackets from the University of North Carolina where he served as a ticketing operations assistant since September 2021. While at UNC, he oversaw game-day ticketing operations for women’s lacrosse, the women’s soccer, women’s basketball and baseball. Additionally, Currier assisted with men’s basketball and Olympic sports, while providing day-to-day customer service to donors, season ticket holders, fans and students.

Coach Fortner is a proven winner at every level, and I believe in her vision here at Tech. I am excited to be working on The Flats and helping to provide a world-class experience for young women on and off the pitch.

A 2019 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Currier earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sports Management with minors in Business Administration and Communications. He continued his studies in Tennessee, graduating with a Master of Science in Recreation and Sport Management in 2021. During his undergraduate studies, Currier served as a student manager from 2016 to 2019.
