FanDuel MLB DFS Line Choice (9/4/21): Daily Fantasy Baseball Tips

Welcome, Rotoballers, to the last weekend we baseball junkies steal the show in DFS. Well, maybe most of the fantasy sports industry is already in football mode, but not here we’re going to be grinding MLB DFS slates through September and into the playoffs. We have a main roster of eight games tonight and there should be a fair amount of offense, at least according to Vegas.

I will provide you with my Daily selections from the fantastic baseball lineup for FanDuel’s main slate on 09/04/2021. Be sure to also check out all MLB player news, including late updates, and daily scheduled and confirmed MLB lineups for each DFS listing. GPP Money Game / Anchor Game:

Framber Valdez – HOU at SDP ($ 9,800)

Framber Valdez is one of the Majors’ less popular pitchers thanks to the name that puts his chest on him. The Astros are the Majors’ most hated team right now thanks to their cheating scandal, but Valdez was not at that club in 2017 and should receive more love from casual fans as the one of the baseball aces to come. Valdez’s skill set is tailor-made for FanDuel’s scoring system as he is not an elite batting pitcher, but he constantly sinks into matches and is arguably backed by the best offense. baseball.

Valdez has won the quality starting bonus in 11 of 17 starts this season and is in great shape having completed at least six innings in seven of his last eight starts. He gets things done with an elite ground bullet rate of 69%. Valdez doesn’t have enough innings to advance to the standings, but for prospect, Dallas Keuchel leads the qualifying starters with a 55% ground ball ratio. Valdez is elite to get the hitters to hit the ball into the ground. He gets a soft clash in this one as San Diego ranks last in the Majors with a .257 team wOBA over the past two weeks and he ranks 26th in baseball in team slugging percentage over. left-handed throwers. Prior to the pricing release, I expected Valdez to be close to $ 11,000 on FanDuel. Its under 10K price makes Framber a lock for gambling and a solid GPP option.

Potential alternative play

Marco Gonzales – SEA to ARI ($ 8,400)

Like Valdez, Gonzales isn’t the sexiest fantasy option thanks to a lack of strikeouts, but he’s another pitcher who gets the job done with low contact and sinks deep into games. This formula doesn’t always work, as evidenced by his 4.02 ERA and 4.96 xFIP, but against the hapless Diamondbacks Gonzales has a good chance of posting a quality start and clinching victory tonight.

His numbers look bad, but Gonzales has suffered some home run bad luck as he has allowed 1.84 HR / 9 so far this year, well above his career average of 1.20 HR / 9. Gonzales should be able to keep the ball in the court against the Snakes and could post a good score in DFS if he does.

Infielders FanDuel DFS

Jose Abreu – 1B, CWS to KC ($ 4,100)

I’m not going to lie to you dear reader, I looked at 1B options for a while because no option screams value. When in doubt, Jose Abreu is always a rock solid option, especially against a southpaw. The reigning AL-MVP has 0.930 OPS against lefties this season, more than 100 points higher than his OPS against righties. It’s also been hot lately as Abreu has hit a hit in eight of his last nine games with a .389 batting average, 10 RBIs and 10 RBIs in that span.

Brendan Rodgers – 2B / SS, COL vs. ATL ($ 3,000)

Rodgers is one of the most poorly evaluated players on the slate, as he is expected to be second at bat for the Rockies in a home game. It costs $ 200 more than last night, but Rodgers still has incredible value, especially considering his recent numbers. As of the start of August, Rodgers is hitting 0.310 with a 0.460 slugging percentage with 15 runs and 13 RBIs in just 24 games.

Jonathan India – 3B / 2B, for DET ($ 3,700)

We have to watch the weather in Cincinnati, but if this game goes, the Reds are the best stack of the night, even with Coors Field on the line. Cincinnati, by almost any measure, is the second-best hitter to boost homers and roster rates at Cincy are still lower than they should be as fantasy managers flock to Coors. India, for their part, crush the left-handed pitcher to the tune of .905 OPS, so he should be successful against flyball pitcher Matt Boyd in a tough stadium for flyball pitchers.

Adalberto Mondesi – SS, vs. CWS ($ 3,500)

It’s happening people, it’s not an exercise. Adalberto Mondesi is healthy again in September and he reminds fantasy baseball players why we’ve been hiding him in IL spots all year round in draft leagues. He has played in two games since returning from IL and has a home run and steal a base in every game. At that price, a trip to the basic paths could pay off and Reynaldo Lopez isn’t an intimidating match for the Mondesi hitting the switch.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Akil Baddoo – OF, DET at CIN ($ 2,900)

The same weather warning we mentioned with India applies here, but Baddoo is insane value as a first hitter for a road team in Cincinnati. Tyler Mahle is a good pitcher, but he also had problems allowing walks and homers. Baddoo has a high 9.3% walk rate and 40% fly ball rate, which allows him to take advantage of Mahle’s weaknesses in the park of a big hitter.

Kyle Tucker – OF, HOU at SDP ($ 3,100)

Like his teammate Valdez, Tucker is a fun young star in this league that the casual fan doesn’t appreciate enough because he plays for the Astros. Tucker is having a great season with 23 homers, 12 interceptions and a 0.526 slugging percentage. He’s better against right-handed pitcher and gets the field advantage over right-handed Joe Musgrove tonight.

Nick Solak – OF / 2B, TEX to LAA ($ 2,500)

Solak is on an 11-game hitting streak and has a .395 batting average and .605 slugging percentage during that time. Over the season, he has a healthy 363 percentage on base over the left-handed pitcher and will face Jesse Suarez tonight, which isn’t exactly the most intimidating game.
