Fantasy Basketball Category Streamers for Week 24

0

Your season should be over by now, but if you’re in one of those leagues that go all the way, here you go! I’ll do my best to make sense of all the madness that is the NBA in its final month.

Let’s see how our top picks fared last week: Terry Taylor (FG%, 10th round total value), Dwight Powell (FT%, fifth round value), Tre Mann (PTS,/3PTM, unranked womp womp) , Trey Lyles (REBS, 12th round value), Tyus Jones (ASTS, ninth round value), Matisse Thybulle (STLS, fourth round value), Onyeka Okongwu (BLKS, 10th round value). Six out of seven of these guys were absolute money! That’s what we like to see!

16 teams have four games this week while the other 14 teams have three games. That means any team is really viable this week, but you can wait to add players on the Celtics, Mavericks, Pistons, Clippers or Knicks because they don’t have a game until Wednesday. I’m going to avoid the Warriors players in this article because they don’t play until Thursday and things will definitely change by then.

Week 24 Standard leagues of 9 categories

The columns are written according to the nine-category H2H standard size leagues:

FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE

Damian Jones – C – Sacramento Kings (32% squad)

The Kings have a somewhat complicated schedule since they play on Tuesday and then not again until Saturday and Sunday. He’s worth signing up for the week because he’s shot 73% from the field the past two weeks and the Kings have nothing to play for right now. Domantas Sabonis hasn’t been ruled out for the season yet but it looks like it will happen in the next few days. Damian Jones should retain his value as long as Sabonis stays out.

Other streamers:

  • Dwight Powell – PF/C – Dallas Mavericks (21% aligned)
  • Nicolas Claxton – C – Brooklyn Nets (24% aligned)
  • Isaiah Hartenstein – PF/C – Los Angeles Clippers (40% workforce)
  • Obi Toppin – SF/PF – New York Knicks (24% squad)
  • Isaiah Jackson – PF/C – Indiana Pacers (21% aligned)
  • Terry Taylor – SG/SF – Indiana Pacers (4% aligned)

FREE THROW PERCENTAGE

Dwight Powell – PF/C – Dallas Mavericks (21% aligned)

I’m asking you again to get Dwight Powell. He averaged 10.3 points, six rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game on absolutely stellar percentages of 63.6 percent from the field and 92.9 percent from the line. Go and get it.

Other streamers:

  • Devin Vassell – SG/SF – San Antonio Spurs (40% aligned)
  • Trey Lyles – PF/C – Sacramento Kings (25% aligned)
  • Luke Kennard – SG/SF – Los Angeles Clippers (22% of the workforce)
  • Malik Beasley – PG/SG – Minnesota Timberwolves (31% of squad)
  • Brandon Williams – PG – Portland Trail Blazers (34% registered)

POINTS

De’Anthony Melton – PG/SG – Memphis Grizzlies (49% squad)

Ja Morant is expected to be reassessed towards the end of the week, but there is no guarantee he will return. In the meantime, Tyus Jones and De’Anthony Melton are getting significant bumps, and Melton in particular is the guy to target if you need points. He’s averaged 19.4 points per game over the past two weeks and is also a great source of defensive stats, especially blocks from the guard position.

Other streamers:

  • Theo Maledon – PG – Oklahoma City Thunder (37% squad)
  • Ben McLemore – SG/SF – Portland Trail Blazers (15% registered)
  • Oshae Brissett – SF/PF – Indiana Pacers (30% lined up)
  • Danilo Gallinari – SF/PF – Atlanta Hawks (20% aligned)
  • Damian Jones – C – Sacramento Kings (32% squad)

THREE POINTS

De’Anthony Melton – PG/SG – Memphis Grizzlies (49% squad)

Oh shoot, here we go again. It’s the same guy who’s suggested for points and three-pointers for a second straight week. Hopefully this week will be more fruitful than last week.

Other streamers:

REBOUNDS

Damian Jones – C – Sacramento Kings (32% squad)

The same guy who is going to get you an impressive field goal percentage this week is also going to get you the most rebounds. Go figure. That’s sarcasm by the way because Damian Jones is a center and those are two categories they usually do better than average. Damian Jones is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game over the past two weeks, which should come in handy in this category.

Other streamers:

  • Isaiah Roby – C – Oklahoma City Thunder (50% listed)
  • Alperen Sengun – C – Houston Rockets (39% squad)
  • Reggie Perry – PF – Portland Trail Blazers (0% registered)
  • Deni Avdija – SG/SF/PF – Washington Wizards (23%)
  • Onyeka Okongwu – PF/C – Atlanta Hawks (19% of squad)

ASSISTANCE

Tyus Jones – PG – Memphis Grizzlies (23% squad)

I would love to put someone else here, but Tyus Jones is still available in the majority of leagues and he’s the only guy who will provide high rate assists, guaranteed. He has averaged 7.3 cents per contest over the past two weeks. Ja Morant is expected to be out most of this week. That makes Tuesday’s game against Utah a great opportunity, to say the least.

Other streamers:

  • Tomas Satoransky – PG/SG – Washington Wizards (5% registered)
  • Aleksej Pokusevski – SF/PF – Oklahoma City Thunder (39% aligned)
  • Kris Dunn – PG/SG – Portland Trail Blazers (13% registered)
  • Brandon Williams – PG – Portland Trail Blazers (34% registered)
  • Ish Smith – PG – Washington Wizards (5% of squad)

FLY

Killian Hayes – PG/SG – Detroit Pistons (32% of squad)

Killian Hayes is finishing the season strong and has averaged 2.4 steals per game to go along with 4.3 assists per game over the past few weeks, but he really got strong last week. Points, steals, threes and assists should be plenty for the young guard on a tanking team.

Other streamers:

  • Donte DiVincenzo – PG/SG – Sacramento Kings (22% squad)
  • Matisse Thybulle – SG/SF – Philadelphia 76ers (45% aligned)
  • Jae Crowder – SF/PF – Phoenix Suns (39% of squad)
  • Markelle Fultz – PG/SG – Orlando Magic (22% of the squad)
  • Patrick Beverley – PG/SG – Minnesota Timberwolves (31% of squad)

BLOCKS

JaVale McGee – C – Phoenix Suns (19% of the squad)

JaVale McGee certainly has a role in this Suns team, and with a seven-game lead over their competition, they can also seat Deandre Ayton from time to time. JaVale has averaged two blocks per contest over the past two weeks, but he’s been doing this sort of thing for years. He is as reliable as possible, as long as he is in gear.

Other streamers:

  • Damian Jones – C – Sacramento Kings (32% squad)
  • Isaiah Hartenstein – PF/C – Los Angeles Clippers (14% of the squad)
  • Isaiah Roby – C – Oklahoma City Thunder (50% listed)
  • Nicolas Claxton – C – Brooklyn Nets (24% aligned)
  • Larry Nance Jr. – PF/C – New Orleans Pelicans (23% rosters)
