Shay Ciezki (10) of St. Mary’s plans to travel to Penn State to play Division I college basketball.

Robert kirkham

Shay Ciezki said neither of his parents played sports in high school, but believe they must have had a bit of athleticism in their genes.

People have been considering her to be a Division I athlete for quite some time and it will become official next year.

Ciezki, the three-time selection of the St. Mary’s of Lancaster All-Western New York team, announced via Twitter on Friday night that she would be playing college basketball at Penn State.

The 5-foot-7 combo guard verbally agreed to accept an offer from the Big Ten School on openings for the state of North Carolina, Syracuse, Providence and all of the Big Four schools.

She said it was up to Penn State and NC State of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

“I walked into campus and got that feeling,” Ciezki said. “I felt like everyone is saying when you walk into campus. This is what I felt.

Ciezki averaged 24.6 points, 7.4 assists, 7.0 rebounds and 4.3 steals per game last year. Despite posting impressive numbers, the team have played around 10 games less due to Covid-19 restrictions.

This means that Ciezki’s career 2,000-point pursuit is something that could gain momentum in January. Ciezki, who can score in clusters, has 1370 career points.

She had over 1,000 points after her second season, which was only her second in college. She would need an average of 28.63 points over 22 games to reach 2K.

MLB DFS: Top DraftKings, FanDuel Fantasy Baseball Daily Picks, Strategy, Tips for September 18, 2021 http://gillesnantet.com/mlb-dfs-top-draftkings-fanduel-fantasy-baseball-daily-picks-strategy-tips-for-september-18-2021/ http://gillesnantet.com/mlb-dfs-top-draftkings-fanduel-fantasy-baseball-daily-picks-strategy-tips-for-september-18-2021/#respond Sat, 18 Sep 2021 15:50:51 +0000 http://gillesnantet.com/mlb-dfs-top-draftkings-fanduel-fantasy-baseball-daily-picks-strategy-tips-for-september-18-2021/

The series Cardinals suddenly found themselves in position for a spot for the National League Wild Card thanks to a raise over the past month. A big reason for their success was the arm of veteran Adam Wainwright who entered on a five-game winning streak on Saturday. The 40-year-old has turned back time this season as his 16 wins are his most in seven years. Wainwright will be one of the best options in Saturday’s MLB DFS player pool, as his pitcher counterpart Yu Darvish struggled in his last outings.

But before you incorporate Wainwright into your MLB DFS rosters, you should also look at the Padres roster he will be facing. Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado and Wil Myers can make even the best pitchers look like crazy because a good pitcher isn’t always worth a good hit. So, should you lean more on the pitcher or the hitter in Saturday’s MLB DFS picks? Before settling on MLB DFS rosters, be sure to check out MLB DFS tips, strategy, and projections from SportsLine Fantasy Daily Expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a Daily Fantasy pro who has earned nearly $ 2 million during his career. And when it comes to everyday fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book “Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune” as one of the best players in MLB DFS, McClure’s exclusive projection model simulates every game 10,000 times, taking into account factors such as confrontations and recent results. Account. This allows him to find the best values on each site.

On Friday, McClure named Red Sox outfielder Hunter Renfroe as one of his top MLB DFS players. The result: Renfroe netted a brace, produced three points and scored one point, earning 15 points on DraftKings and 22.7 points on FanDuel. Everyone who included him in their rosters was on track for a profitable day.

Now, with the 2021 MLB season continuing, McClure has locked down his daily MLB Fantasy picks for Saturday. Head over to SportsLine now to see them.

McClure’s Top MLB DFS Picks For September 18, 2021

McClure’s top picks on Saturday are Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich, who is $ 3,600 on FanDuel and $ 4,100 on DraftKings. The NL’s 2018 MVP reached base safely three times on Friday, while scoring one point and leading another.

Yelich has missed some time this season but has eight home runs, eight stolen goals and 46 RBIs this season. He picked up on things in the second half of the season as his batting average jumped 19 points since the all-star break. Yelich gets a great clash on Saturday against Cubs rookie Justin Steele (3-3, 4.17 ERA). Steele was great coming out of the box with a 2.03 ERA but has struggled since being promoted to starter with a 5.20 ERA.

Another key player in McClure’s optimal MLB DFS strategy is the roster of White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncana ($ 4,100 on DraftKings, $ 3,600 on FanDuel). Moncada is on a six-game hitting streak and a 26-game base streak. During this last streak, Moncada posted a .333 / .426 / .475 split with a .901 OPS.

Moncada has been hammering all pitchers lately, but he’s particularly successful against RHP as he will see on Saturday in Rangers’ Spencer Howard. Moncada’s OPS is 104 points higher than right-handed compared to left-handed, as 10 of his 12 home runs have encountered right-handed pitchers. Additionally, Howard has struggled against anyone who enters the batter’s box as the 25-year-old has a 7.38 ERA this season.

How to set your MLB DFS rosters for September 18, 2021

McClure is also targeting an undervalued player who is expected to explode in large numbers on Saturday. The stars align for it to restore the winning value of the tournament and it comes up with a prize that won’t break the bank. You can’t see who it is here.

Simplify Football, Watch Paint Dry, Baddest Ever and Other Bear Balls http://gillesnantet.com/simplify-football-watch-paint-dry-baddest-ever-and-other-bear-balls/ http://gillesnantet.com/simplify-football-watch-paint-dry-baddest-ever-and-other-bear-balls/#respond Sat, 18 Sep 2021 15:25:07 +0000 http://gillesnantet.com/simplify-football-watch-paint-dry-baddest-ever-and-other-bear-balls/

Free COVID-19 vaccines will be available during the Bears’ home opening from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Miller Lite fan zone at Soldier Field. No tickets or appointments are necessary.

As a warning, the Raiders are imposing vaccinations on fans to be present at their new stadium. So if you are a Bears fan heading to Vegas, I encourage you to get your shot as soon as possible. I would hate if you spent all that money just to be refused at the door. Think of this as a friendly public service announcement. Happy saturday!

• Sometimes football can get too complicated. So let’s keep it simple. If the Bears are to win Sunday, they’ll need more:

• And less of this:

• Let’s keep it really simple. In order for the Bears to beat the Bengals, they must harness their offensive strengths. Give the ball to David Montgomery early and often. Use traps and wrong direction to keep defenders on their heels and give linemen and other blockers a fighting chance. Once Montgomery is established as a reference person, he should open up some extravagant options. On the other side of the ball, Chicago must limit the big games. Maybe Sean Desai’s defense should take a page out of the Rams’ playbook and keep extra defenders deeper? It looks like an overcorrection. Maybe it’s enough to touch a receiver when it falls. Yeah, that might work.

• Now that I find myself reviewing that clip above, maybe Matt Nagy can find a way to implement these concepts into his game plan for this week. Use Allen Robinson II and Darnell Mooney like Robert Woods and Van Jefferson were on this piece. There’s a lot going on beyond the Bears’ defenders falling asleep at the wheel.

• Nothing like cooling off in the hope of making a good impression:

• Overall the place doesn’t look bad considering that there was Dr Donda West’s house in the middle last time I was there.

• An important and necessary common thread:

• You should see the look on my face when someone who isn’t a Chicago Bears player gets overtime:

• Do not mistake yourself. I know not everyone can get a new contract. But that the only del to do in the last two years being that of Tarik Cohen does not seem correct. Don’t you have the impression that other agreements should have been concluded since? Or is it just me writing before the coffee completely starts?

• With the Bears’ offensive line problems being what they are, every week I discover a new appreciation for quality line play:

• The Browns brought in former Bears RB Artavis Pierce for a tryout, reports Jason Lieser of the Sun-Times. If the Browns feel the need to do it in an attempt to get a schematic advantage, then they might not be the team I think they can be in 2021.

• Michael informs us that going to a football game at Wrigley Field is always one of the most expensive outings in baseball.

• Haven’t watched the Chicago Party Auntie Netflix show yet, but Mario found some Blackhawk-centric Easter eggs:

• Coby White played with a level of flair in North Carolina that he couldn’t match in Chicago. Hoping that his shoulder “gets better every day”.

• Take advantage if you can. But also, don’t forget to bet responsibly:

Leconte Nix has gotten to know many bus drivers in the Champaign School District on long trips to see football, basketball and baseball games.

So when the boys’ basketball coach at Champaign Central saw the year start off hard for the understaffed transportation department, including an incident last week in which a bus was hit by a bullet , he decided that his team should show their appreciation.

On Friday morning, Nix and senior captains Dwayne Hubbard and AJ Williams brought coffee and donuts to the transportation department.

“They’ve been through it lately,” Nix said. “They had a tough week last week and they have a shortage. I wanted to do something for them. I wanted our basketball players to show them their appreciation. They don’t hear enough that they are needed and they are appreciated.

After 17 seasons as an assistant, Nix returned to the interim head coach position this summer. Even before the season started, he wanted to make sure his players were grateful to the staff who serve them.

“Without them there is no us,” Nix said. “They are everything. It’s like any other relationship, you have to feed the mouth that feeds you. We have to take care of the people who take care of us, so it’s just a small gesture to let them know that we are thinking of them.

Middletown South’s Steve Antonucci takes 200th career victory http://gillesnantet.com/middletown-souths-steve-antonucci-takes-200th-career-victory/ http://gillesnantet.com/middletown-souths-steve-antonucci-takes-200th-career-victory/#respond Sat, 18 Sep 2021 02:15:41 +0000 http://gillesnantet.com/middletown-souths-steve-antonucci-takes-200th-career-victory/

MIDDLETOWN – There are many reasons Steve Antonucci still enjoys coaching football.

One of the main reasons occurs when the Middletown High School South football team is running on the field of “The Swamp”.

“The swamp is a great place,” said Antonucci, who is in his 24th season as Middletown South head coach. “It’s not the swamp anymore (because of the sod that replaced the grass and mud over ten years ago), people all the time, one of the great traditions we have is when we come down that hill and Hells Bells play.

“I’m 51 and I get goosebumps when we do that (enter the field) every Friday night. It brings you back. There’s something magical about it. That’s what makes it (training) fun. ”

Middletown South head coach Steve Antonucci celebrates his 200th career victory in the Jackson Memorial game against Middletown High School South at Middletown High School South in Middletown, NJ on Friday, September 17, 2021.

Antonucci added another memorable night of training when the Eagles recorded a dominant 27-0 victory over Jackson Memorial in a Colonial Division Shore Conference game, giving Antonucci the 200th career victory.

“There were a lot of sacrifices, a lot of hard work, a lot of good, bad times, ups and downs,” said Antonucci.

There were mostly ups during Antonucci’s tenure.

“Everyone said I was a baseball guy”

The Eagles went 200-59 under Antonucci with six NJSIAA sectional championships and five unbeaten seasons, including a 43-game winning streak, a Shore Conference record, from the start of the 2003 season to the first seven games of the 2006 season. .

Four of the sectional championships Middletown South won under Antonucci came from 2003 to 2006.

Middletown South head coach Steve Antonucci is pictured with his team following the Eagles' 27-0 win over Jackson Memorial on Friday night, giving him the 200th career victory.

“It’s (reaching 200 wins) quite an accomplishment in today’s high school football world,” said Antonucci. “Being in a place for 24 years and reaching a milestone like this isn’t something you see very often. It’s consistency and longevity. It says a lot about what we’ve been able to do. ‘ ‘

By the time he became Middletown South’s fifth head coach, Antonucci, who was a football and baseball star at Keyport in the late 1980s, had already had a successful career as the baseball head coach of the Eagles.
